OSRS Farming Boosts
Cheat your way to high-level plants.
Farming levels are slow to come by. Boosting is the standard way to unlock Spirit Trees and high-level herbs.
Top Methods
- Garden Pie (+3): Cheap and easy. Eat half a pie at the patch.
- Spicy Stew (+5): The only way to plant a Spirit Tree at level 78 (83 requirement). It can take many tries to get the +5 boost.
Strategy
Stand next to the patch with your sapling/seed ready. Drink/Eat the boost, and immediately click the patch. You only need the level for the *planting* action.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the boost affect yield?
Technically yes, higher visible farming levels slightly increase yield, but the main purpose of boosting is to plant things you otherwise couldn't.
Where do I get Garden Pies?
You can cook them (Level 34 Cooking) or buy them on the Grand Exchange. They are very cheap.
