Boosting Farming in OSRS
Plant high-level crops without the grind.
Farming Boosts are unique because once a plant is in the ground, it grows regardless of your level. You only need the boost for the action of planting.
Best Methods
- Garden Pie (+3): Cheap, reliable, lasts 60s per bite. Use this for almost everything.
- Spicy Stew (+5): The Brown Spice stew can give -5 to +5. Essential for boosting to build the Spirit Tree at level 78 or plant high tier herbs.
Garden of Death
The Garden of Death quest gives decent Farming XP but no direct boost items.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I boost to check health?
No. You only need the level to PLANT. Checking health (which gives the big XP drop) has no level requirement once the plant is grown.
Do I need to boost to harvest?
Generally no, except for some specific contracts or high-tier herbs where boosting might slightly impact yield (farming cape/secateurs matter more).
