Killing Ents Guide
Farming logs through combat.
Ents are monsters found in the Wilderness and the Woodcutting Guild. When killed, you must use a hatchet on their remains to harvest logs.
Strategy
- Attack the Ent with Range or Melee until it reaches 0 HP.
- It will turn into a trunk. Equip your best Axe (Dragon/Crystal).
- Chop the trunk repeatedly to get logs (Normal to Magic logs based on your WC level).
Why do it?
It is the fastest way for Ironmen to obtain Magic Logs for Desert Treasure or Birdhouses without having 75 Woodcutting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need 75 Woodcutting?
No, the type of logs you get scales with your level, but you have a chance for Magics even at lower levels compared to chopping trees.
Is the Wilderness Ents better?
They drop better loot tables (Wilderness limit), but the risk of PKers usually makes the Woodcutting Guild dungeon a safer, more consistent option.
