Hull Types & Tiers
In OSRS Sailing, hulls are crafted using the Construction skill. Higher tier hulls require better planks and higher levels.

Maintenance & Repair
Even the strongest hull takes damage. Here is how to keep your ship afloat.
Emergency Repairs
If your hull HP drops below 20% while at sea, you must perform emergency repairs.
- Tool: Hammer
- Material: Planks (Any type, but matching type repairs more)
- Action: Click on the "Leak" spots that appear on the deck.
⚠️
Warning: If your hull reaches 0 HP, your ship will sink. You will spawn at
your last port, and you will have to pay a salvage fee to reclaim your ship.

Paint Jobs
Apply heraldic colors to your hull to represent your clan or house.
Figureheads
Attach dragon, mermaid, or demon heads for stat boosts.
Reinforcement
Add metal plating to specific sections for directional defense.

Can I downgrade my hull?
No, upgrades are permanent. You would need to build a new ship to use a lower
tier hull.
Does hull weight affect speed?
Yes! Heavier hulls (like Ironwood) are slower unless you have high-tier sails to
compensate.
Is the Crystal Hull tradeable?
No, it is untradeable and requires Song of the Elves completion to craft.
How do I check my Hull HP?
The ship's health bar is displayed in the top-left corner of your screen while
sailing.
