Hunter Guide OSRS
Catching Gielinor's creatures for profit and XP.
Hunter requires catching animals. It is unique because you can level it almost passively or extremely actively.
Birdhouses
Unlocked after Bone Voyage. Setup 4 birdhouses on Fossil Island every 50 minutes. This is the "farming run" of Hunter and provides amazing XP for 2 minutes of work.
Active Training
- Red Chinchompas (Level 63): Great XP and GP.
- Black Chinchompas (Level 73): Best GP but in Level 32 Wilderness (high risk).
- Herbiboar (Level 80): Requires Herblore. Fun, tracking-based activity on Fossil Island.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Imp Catcher worth it?
Catching Imps (Puro Puro) is mostly for Ironman clue hunters. For pure XP, salamanders or chinchompas are better.
Do I need full Larupia gear?
Actually, camouflage gear does NOT work in OSRS for most hunting (confirmed by mods), except in specific low-level instances. It's mostly cosmetic.
