Mining Minigames Guide
Stop clicking rocks, start playing games.
Mining is no longer just hitting rocks. Minigames offer better engagement and rewards.
Motherlode Mine (MLM)
Unlock: Level 30. Best for AFK and rewards (Coal Bag, Prospector). Located in Falador.
Volcanic Mine
Unlock: Fossil Island + 150 Kudos. Best for XP (80k+/hr) and relatively low effort with a coordinated team.
Blast Mine
Unlock: Lovakengj Favor. Good compromise between XP and GP, but requires dynamite.

Is Zalcano a mining minigame?
Technically it is a skilling boss (Sote required). It gives Mining XP but is mostly played for loot (crystal shards/tools) and Smithing/RC xp.
Which one for pet chance?
Volcanic Mine has a decent pet chance, but power mining Gem Rocks is usually technically faster for the pet. MLM is very slow for pets.
